  NATIONAL TELL A STORY DAY National Tell a Story Day is celebrated on April 27  each year in the United States encourages people of all ages to share stories. The stories can take many forms, too. You can read from a book or create one from your imagination.

World Malaria Day

World Malaria Day  is observed on April 25 to spread awareness of the global effort to control and ultimately eradicate malaria. It was first held in 2008.  World Malaria Day raise awareness about the need for the prevention, control, and elimination of malaria. This day also marks the continuing great achievements in the fight against malaria. It is also necessary to provide education to the people for a better understanding of the disease malaria and how to cure it. According to WHO, the theme for World Malaria Day 2023 is   "Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement".

This year is extra special.People across the world on April 25, 2023 will commemorate both the 20th anniversary of the Human Genome Project’s completion and the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA double helix .

  World Creativity and Innovation Day  is celebrated annually on  April 21  to raise awareness about the crucial role that innovation and creativity play in human development. Creativity is the use of imagination, thinking, and skills to create new ideas, while innovation is the process of using creativity, knowledge, and skills to improve existing ideas or develop new products. This day is focused on achieving Sustainable Development Goals through promoting and celebrating creativity and innovation. The history and significance of this day revolve around recognizing the value of creativity and innovation in improving the quality of life, fostering economic growth, and addressing global challenges. Today we got an opportunity to express our creative ideas through paper. Each one of us had made different craft works and models.

  WORLD LIVER DAY World Liver Day is observed on April 19 in order to raise awareness about liver-related diseases. The liver is one of the most complex organs in the human body. It plays a pivotal role in our body’s immunity, digestion and metabolism. Plus, it also carries out the filtration of toxins, stores vitamins and minerals, and produces bile, among other functions. The theme for this year’s World Liver Day is “Be vigilant, do a regular liver check-up, fatty liver can affect anyone.” This theme urges everyone to get regular liver check-ups, irrespective of the risk factors such as obesity, diabetes and excess consumption of alcohol.

The observance is an excellent time to learn about the role bats play in nature.

  Today we had attended the demonstration class which was handled by Arun Sir of NVKS Senior Secondary School. He had introduced the unit "Chemical Changes" to us. Many teaching aids have been used in order to make the class interactive and interesting.  

Book Review-THE MAGIC

  THE MAGIC Rhonda Byrne is a Creator and Executive Producer of the film The Secret  and the Author of this book. The Secret , The Power , The Magic  , and Hero  are some of the other books written by her. The Magic book is the Third book in the Secret book series. The Magic takes us one step further through ” The Secret” and shows us that gratitude is key to changing your life. In the Magic book,  each chapter contains special exercises to help you practice gratitude. This book and its exercises will not only help you or assist you in changing your thinking, but it won’t only help you in the way you think but also help you to set your dreams and desires into motion

National Safe Motherhood day

  NATIONAL SAFE MOTHERHOOD DAY National Safe Motherhood Day is observed annually on 11 April to raise awareness about the proper healthcare of women and maternity facilities for pregnant and lactating women. This day also focuses on reducing anaemia among women, institutional delivery, better pre and postnatal health care etc. which are necessary for mothers. This day also raises awareness for the prevention of child marriages because we can say that child marriage may be an indirect cause of maternal deaths. It is the right of every woman to take good quality nutrition and proper healthcare services during and after pregnancy and childbirth. In fact, in India, the government is also taking efforts to reduce the maternal mortality rate but we can't ignore the fact that it is our duty also to take steps for women's healthcare and if needed to educate them.

  NATIONAL PET DAY National Pet Day 2023  is celebrated on April 11 around the world. It is also known as Love Your Pet Day. This day is dedicated to pets and acknowledging the joy that they bring into our lives. On National Pet Day, people take time out of their hectic lives to give pet animals additional attention, care, and affection.Co lleen Paige, an animal welfare campaigner, launched this day in 2006 to bring attention to the plight of animals in shelters all across the world.  Pets are an important part of many of our lives.   National Pet Day   is an opportunity to show affection towards our pets and encourage people to adopt pets. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has evaluated the physical and emotional benefits of owning a pet for the past ten years. Pe ts can not only steal our hearts, but they can also help us maintain good cardiovascular health by decreasing cortisol, cholesterol, and blood pressure.

  NATIONAL SIBLINGS DAY Siblings are an important part of our lives. One cannot imagine his or her life without siblings. To honour our siblings, to show affection, to appreciate one another. National Siblings Day is celebrated every year on April 10. In India, the occasion of Raksha Bandhan celebrates the special bond between siblings. Siblings Day is celebrated in many parts of the world like the United Kingdom, Australia, India etc. but is not federally recognized.

  WORLD HOMOEOPATHY DAY World Homoeopathy Day 2023 is celebrated on 10 April to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Homoeopathy medicines are safe to use because they rarely cause side effects. It is based on the principle of 'like cures like'. It means that a substance in a small amount is taken will cure the same symptoms it causes if taken in large amounts. Homoeopathy is derived from the Greek words  homeo,  which means similar, and pathos, which means suffering or disease.

  WORLD SPORTS DAY World Sports Day is observed on April 6 each year since 2013. The world celebrates   International Day of Sport   for Development and Peace on 6 April, to mark the opening of the Olympics in Athens 1896. The UN and the IOC have a unique commitment to use sport as a tool for social change. The theme of World Sports Day 2023 is “Scoring for People and the Planet.”

National Maritime Day

  NATIONAL MARITIME DAY It is observed on April 5 annually. This year is the 60th edition of National Maritime Day.  The day is observed on April 5 to spread awareness about international trade and the economy. During the celebrations on this day, the "NMD Award of Excellence" is usually given to recognise and honour individuals for their lifetime distinguished and exceptional achievements in the Indian maritime sector at a senior level. National Maritime Day 2023 is being celebrated on the theme 'Amrit Kaal in Shipping' this year. The 60th anniversary of the event is centred on giving thanks to the men who spend countless months at sea, conducting the majority of India's trade and commerce on a global scale.
