International Mermaid Day

 INTERNATIONAL MERMAID DAY 2023

Today, our college had celebrated the International Mermaid Day. It is observed every year on March 29. It's for lovers of the fabled creature that's appeared in literature, mythology, music,films, and pop culture for a long time.

In our childhood, we have all heard various fairy tales from our parents or grandparents, such as Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, and many others. Most of the characters in these stories are imaginative and fascinating, with their unique appearances. Similarly, ‘The Little Mermaid’ is also one of the most popular fairy tales. Its beautiful character always attracts children, as its upper portion represents a beautiful lady, while the lower portion represents fishtails. To honour such characters, story lovers across the globe celebrate International Mermaid Day on March 29.
